APSA, Debate Committee 2013 - 2014

Dear Members of the American Political Science Association/Debate Committee,

First, Alex and I would personally like to thank all members for your work, dedication and participation to APSA/DC this year. Our organization has grown and become ever more reputable, and we have only to thank our amazing members! This season's session of Debate has officially come to a close and thus we will not have a meeting this Friday, June 7, 2013. Our final meeting of the 2012-2013 school year took place on Friday, May 31, 2013 and it was quite a success! It has been an incredible year, and it will only improve next year! With more members joining our meetings, coming in and bringing new ideas, Debate Committee will make excellent progress with new goals as well as with our recently established traditions (Teacher vs. Student Debate, Etc.).

On behalf of the APSA/DC council, APSA/DC members and APSA/DC advisor, Alex and I would once again like to thank Ms. Karen Tong and Mr. Jay Jurow, our former presidents/founders, for setting the stage for us and leaving an invaluable legacy. They have left behind big shoes to fill and we have accepted the challenge!

Meetings will resume in mid to late September. Until then, I wish all of you a great summer, and look forward to seeing you all again for our exciting autumn session!
As always, thank you for your support and commitment to APSA/DC,

Sincerely,

-Alex Koutavas
President
