Obama v. Romney Presidential Debate for Friday, September 28th, 2012.
The main focus of Friday's debate is to discuss a key election question: what should the U.S. response be to turmoil in the Middle East, i.e., Lybia, Iran, Afghanistan and other nations. This debate will feature two sides arguing for either the incumbent, Barack Obama, or the Republican Nominee, Mitt Romney. This should prove to be an extremely interesting debate, as there is so much to discuss surrounding the political and economic consequences of this issue for the United States and the world.
APSA/ Debate Club meeting for September 28, 2012
Open Forum with Disclaimer followed by Affirmative Statement:
"Following the death of American Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, President Obama called the ongoing protests in the Middle East "Bumps in the road."
Republican Nominee Mitt Romney responded by saying 'I can’t imagine saying something like the assassination of ambassadors is a bump in the road.' As Anti- American Protests continue throughout at least ten Middle-East countries, the United States should consider military intervention"
